COMMunity gathers for 2013 General Assembly

Mass Communication Department gathered for their yearly General Assembly at the Adamson University (AdU) Theater last July 05.

Dr. Servillano Marquez Jr., Dean of the College of Education and Liberal Arts started the assembly with opening remarks. He proudly pointed that AdU achieved the Level Four Accreditation and was in to the Top Universities in Asia.

It was followed by the recognition of the students who were given certificates and awards for their outstanding performances in their classes and also participation in different contests and seminars outside the university.

There were also intermission numbers presented by the different organizations such as the Mass communication Artist Center (MAC) Singers, Dancers and Acoustics. It was also followed by the introduction of the new set of the Adamson University Mass Communication Society (AUMACommS) officers as they launched the new released ID lace for the whole Communication Society. Members of the mentioned organizations including the Falcon Radio Station (FRS) were warmly welcomed too. Genina Mariel Arceo, President of the AUMAComms, presented the newest activities prepared for this school year. An audio visual presentation (AVP) was shown to inform students about the academic policies and disciplinary rules inside the campus.

For the finale, the Communication Department faculty members – Prof. Marc Pacoma, Prof. Joel Zaporteza, Prof.Glenn Reynon, Prof. Marianne Escanilla and the Chairperson of the department, Mam Jeanie Derillo showed off unexpected and fun performances that made all the students scream and feel a concert-like General Assembly.

Gabrielle Evangelista, Jeffrey Santos, Joji Anne Altamera, Allyssa Monic Rivera, Marc Tenio, Gennyvel Gonzaga, Von Hernandez, Gabrielle Dalisay and Michael Andrean Lara, all FRS DJs hosted the event.
